![]() We will spend the rest of eternity with God and Jesus once we enter into heaven. This life is but for a moment, a blink of an eye compared to the eternal time frame that is operating up in heaven. If we choose to run our own lives instead of turning the reigns of our life over to God the Father, then we will not be embarking on the real path that God would like us to travel on – and any works that we end up doing while traveling on our own path will in no way be as highly rewarded as the works that are done operating in God’s perfect will for our lives. However, there is one slight catch to all of this. In other words, good works for the Lord will be highly rewarded once we cross over and enter into heaven. Some of the verses I will list below specifically tell us that God will be rewarding us “according to our labors” for Him in this life. Again, these good works cannot get us saved, but they can get us the bigger and better rewards once we enter into heaven. The Bible tells us that God will be “rewarding” us for the good works that we will do for Him while living down here on this earth. He now wants all of us to come and “work” for Him. However, once we are saved, God the Father expects us to do something with what time we still have left down here on this earth. We can only be saved by grace through our faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrificial death on the cross. The Bible makes it very clear that good works will not get us into heaven. In other words, you will have forever wasted your one and only opportunity to find out exactly what you were created for, and what your true divine destiny was going to be in the Lord. If you decide to run your own life and call all of your own shots, then your life is going to take a completely different course as versus the one it would take if you would turn your entire life over to God the Father for Him to fully handle.Īs you will see in some of the very powerful Scripture verses I will list below, the Bible specifically tells us that if we choose to follow our own way and path in this life – then that path will eventually lead to death. This decision as to who will be running your life from here on in will determine the course your life will now take. And that decision is – who is going to run the rest of your life from here on in – you or God?Īs you will see in the Scripture verses I will list below, the Bible makes it very clear as to who should be guiding your steps in this life – and that Person is God the Father through the Holy Spirit! Hopefully nobody will figure out the obvious exploit of winking each eye independently.Īssuming it hits the $20,000 Kickstarter goal, Close Your is due in February 2017.However, you are now faced with the second biggest decision that you will ever make in this life. ![]() The main thing for them now is getting the graphics re-jigged and making sure the real-world blinky feature works with everybody’s dodgy webcams. If you decide to work hard at your desk instead of fraternising with your co-workers, for example, the game will track it and "reflect your unique disposition" later on. The story will change depending on how you behave in each scene, the developers claim, rather than relying on the "obvious moral choices" of games like Telltale’s adventures. There also seem to be subtle actions that will have an impact on what happens down the line. That sounds like good bait for uncontrollable weeping to me. You may close your eyes on your first kiss, and open them at your wedding, or close your eyes on a fight with your mother, only to open them at her funeral. "Since blinking is an inevitable physical process, each of these vignettes is imbued with inherent tension. Here’s what the developers, GoodbyeWorld Games, say about that: Each blink might skip ahead a few minutes or whole years. At the beginning of the game you’ll be hit by a car, the developers explain, and then have a quick chat with Death as he gives you the tutorial for dying. It looks like a first-person reimagining of that one scene from Up. Here’s a short trailer explaining things. The team behind it are hoping to get it released in February next year, which will come along any moment now. Jenkins.Īlice wrote about Close Your back in 2014 but she must have blinked since then because here we are in 2016 and it has just launched a Kickstarter to fund a graphical overhaul. Blink again and would you look at that, you’re at your desk job and there he is. You might be hanging out with your new mates on the first day of school, blink, and suddenly be in da club, dancing with strangers. Each time you – the real you – blinks, your webcam will detect it and launch the story forward, sometimes by several years. Close Your is a first-person game that hopes to replicate the speedy passage of life. One minute you’re playing with toy cars in your nappy and the next minute you’re 35 years old and Jenkins wants those reports by Monday.
